Healthy Weight Height ChartA healthy weight height chart is used as a basis in finding the most appropriate weight to any person’s height. Not because you are tall, you think it’s better for you to be fat than to look dumpy and small. This should not be the case.

2. What is healthy weight for 6 year old female: 46.2 lbs.

3. What is a healthy weight for being 5′9″:

  • Female:
    • BMI Result: 120.5 lbs. to 179.4 lbs.
    • Robinson Formula (1983) Ideal weight:   144 lbs.
  • Male:
    • BMI Result (MALE): 129.3 to 182.8 lbs.
    • Robinson Formula (1983) Ideal weight:  152.3 lbs.

4. Normal healthy weight for 6 foot tall 20 year old man:

  • BMI Result: 140.8 lbs. to 199 lbs.
  • Robinson Formula (1983) Ideal weight: 164.9 lbs.

5. Normal healthy weight for 6 foot tall 50 year old man:

  • BMI Result: 136.4 lbs. to 184.3 lbs.

These results are based from other references which includes the Body Mass index (BMI) and the famous formula by Robinson in 1983 for computing the specific ideal weight.

As I said, there are several factors to consider in getting the right weight for your height. Various factors such as body frame, body shape, body fat composition, lifestyle, and age.

A person who has a lean muscular body may be labeled as overweight by these height and weight charts, however, he/ she might be in the normal weight range when it comes to his/ her body fat percentage. A skinny or bony person can be within the normal body weight range but can be overweight because of the insufficient muscle mass.

Body weight can really be deceptive.  And as we grow old, our body fat has the tendency to increase because of the decreased level of activity or the kind of lifestyle we have.

Always feed your body with the energy and food it needs. When you continuously apply the proper diet and regular exercise, you can stay healthy and fit for a long period of time.
